Collection: Venom Mob Classics

The Venom Mob became one of the most recognizable groups of performers in Shaw Brothers martial arts cinema. Several members had known and trained with one another from an early age, which helped give their films a strong sense of teamwork and screen chemistry.

Their backgrounds in Peking Opera, acrobatics, and traditional Chinese martial arts contributed to the fast movement, elaborate weapons work, and highly physical fight scenes that became closely associated with their movies.

The group included performers such as Philip Kwok, Chiang Sheng, Lo Meng, Lu Feng, Sun Chien, and Wang Li. Their work with Shaw Brothers produced a number of popular kung fu films that remain favorites among collectors of classic Hong Kong martial arts cinema. Chiang Sheng passed away in 1991, but his performances remain an important part of the Venom Mob filmography.
