The Shaolin Avengers (1976), also released as Fang Shih Yu Yu Hu Hui Chien and Fang Shi Yu Yu Hu Hui Qian (方世玉與胡惠乾 / 方世玉与胡惠乾), is a Hong Kong martial arts film directed by Chang Cheh and Wu Ma for Shaw Brothers Studio. Starring Alexander Fu Sheng, Chi Kwan Chun, Chan Wai Lau, Bruce Tong, Lung Fei, and Choi Wang, the film follows the legendary martial arts heroes Fong Sai-yuk and Hu Hui-gan through a story of revenge, loyalty, and resistance against Qing forces.
STORY OVERVIEW
After their fathers are killed by Qing forces, Fong Sai-yuk and Hu Hui-gan become determined to avenge their families. Their paths bring them together as they train in kung fu and join other fighters opposed to the Qing government.
As their enemies send skilled martial artists to stop them, the two young fighters face a series of dangerous battles. Their loyalty is tested as they fight to protect their fellow resistance members and take revenge against the men responsible for their suffering.
