The Bare-Footed Kid, also known as 赤脚小子, Chi Jiao Xiao Zi, Chik Geuk Siu Ji is a 1993 Hong Kong martial arts film directed by Johnnie To and starring Aaron Kwok, Maggie Cheung, Ti Lung and Jacklyn Wu. The film is a remake of the 1975 film, Disciples of Shaolin, which was directed by Chang Cheh.

(Synopsis): Upon his father’s death, a poor boy seeks out his father’s friend and receives assistance from him and his employer. Because of his martial arts prowess, he gets hired by the local police and gets tricked into betraying his previous benefactors. Upon his father’s death, a poor boy (Aaron Kwok) seeks out his father’s friend (Ti Lung) and receives assistance from him and his employer (Maggie Cheung). Because of his martial arts prowess, he gets hired by the local police and gets tricked (and partly framed) into betraying his previous benefactors.
