Once Upon a Time in China V (1994), also released as Wong Fei Hung Chi Ng: Lung Shing Chim Pa and Huang Fei Hong Zhi Wu: Long Cheng Jian Ba (黃飛鴻之五:龍城殲霸 / 黄飞鸿之五:龙城歼霸), is a Hong Kong martial arts film written and directed by Tsui Hark. Starring Vincent Zhao, Rosamund Kwan, Max Mok, Kent Cheng, Roger Kwok, and Xiong Xinxin, the fifth film in the Once Upon a Time in China series continues Wong Fei-hung's adventures with kung fu action, swordplay, and battles against pirates and corrupt forces.

STORY OVERVIEW

Wong Fei-hung returns to southern China and becomes involved in a struggle against powerful pirate forces threatening the region. With violence spreading and local authorities unable to contain the growing danger, Wong and his companions are drawn into a dangerous conflict.

As the pirates strengthen their hold and corruption complicates the fight, Wong must use his martial arts skills and judgment to protect innocent people. The conflict leads to a series of confrontations with heavily armed enemies and skilled fighters before Wong faces the forces behind the growing threat.

MARTIAL ARTS HIGHLIGHTS

Once Upon a Time in China V features Wong Fei-hung's traditional martial arts against a mixture of sword fighters, pirates, and armed opponents. Action director Yuen Bun stages the film's kung fu and weapon fights with the wire-assisted choreography associated with the series, while Vincent Zhao brings speed and precision to the role.
