STORY OVERVIEW
After defeating the notorious Pai Mei, Hung Wen-ting returns home hoping to leave the violence of the past behind. His plans change when the powerful White Lotus Priest, Pai Mei's brother, begins hunting Hung and the people connected to him. The ruthless martial artist uses an unusual fighting system that makes conventional attacks almost useless, forcing Hung to search for a different way to defeat him.
With the White Lotus Priest continuing his campaign against Hung and those who stand in his way, Hung must overcome the limitations of his own fighting style. A new approach to training introduces him to techniques based on flexibility, precision, and unconventional movement, giving him a chance to face an opponent whose unusual abilities have made him nearly impossible to defeat.
MARTIAL ARTS HIGHLIGHTS
Clan Of The White Lotus is especially remembered for Lau Kar-leung's inventive action choreography and its unusual approach to kung fu training. Gordon Liu's Hung Wen-ting develops techniques built around flexibility and precise attacks, while Lo Lieh's White Lotus Priest relies on an unconventional fighting style that turns speed and power against his opponents. The film features hand-to-hand combat, acrobatic movement, weapon work, and creative training sequences that give the action a distinctive character.
