Five Super Fighters, also known as 唐山五虎, Five Superfighters, Tang Shan Wu Hu, and 5 Superfighters is a 1978 Shaw Brothers martial arts film about a kung fu expert who goes around to different schools correcting "bad kung fu".film fans see the title Five Superfighters, they know they're going to see one of director John Lo Mar's best flat-out, fight-filled, non-stop minimal martial arts masterpieces. The plot is thrilling simplicity: an old medicine seller and his three apprentices learn Chinese, crane, pole, and drunken fighting to defeat an arrogant bully. (Synopsis): An arrogant kung fu specialist roams China challenging one and all--"correcting" their kung fu, as he puts it. He "corrects" an old kung fu master and his three students to the point where the master turns to drink and stops teaching. The three students each go their separate ways in search of different skills needed to defeat their foe. When they reunite in 6 months time, get ready for an epic 20-minute battle the likes of which you’ve never seen. Another classic from the Shaw Brothers studios.
