About us
42nd Street, New York City back in the early 80's
(My Journey)
My journey to the Martial Arts endeavor started when I was 8 years old, and my Mother took me to see my very first Kung Fu Flick, "Five Fingers Of Death" after that I was hooked.
Not only did I continue to watch the films, I also became a very big Bruce Lee fan.
I also began studying martial arts, I wanted to be the next Bruce Lee. I became a very dedicated and extreme practitioner,
practicing just about everyday except for Sundays like Bruce did.
I trained in mostly Northern styles. "Wah Lum Tam Tui Northern Praying Mantis" is the first system I ever studied. I also trained in Pai Lum, "White Dragon Kung Fu" under the late Dr Daniel Pai and Sifu Steve Mathews. I Boxed for 8 years at the "Bed Stuy Boxing Gym" in Brooklyn New York along with "Mark Breland" and "Riddick Bowe" to name a few. trained in Muay Thai under K-1 fighters like "Dennis Hurricane Lane" and "Ernesto Hoost", and for the past 15 years I have been a dedicated practitioner in Wing Chun Kung Fu.
(About us)
Before all the internet access was available, we were a small mail order business serving the world along with celebrities.
ClassicKungFuMovies.com has been around for over 25 years, Since the beginning. Since the days when you couldn't buy these films. The days when they were only shown in theaters. Back then I was a Die hard Kung Fu Head, I practically lived in the theaters.
In New York City it was (The Deuce, aka 42nd st), Then years later television, channel 5, Saturdays from 3:00 until 5:00pm on a show called (Drive In movie).
I still remember it like it were yesterday. I can still hear the music that played just before the show came on. I still remember how I felt watching the Five Deadly Venoms for the first time.
My favorite out of all the "Venoms" of course, is the Toad. I felt so bad for how they betrayed him in the movie. I remember wishing that I could jump through the screen and so call, somehow, help him, lol, yeah right! I would have gotten beat down. I remember when the movie was over and trying to use the Snake style on my best friend.

Every weekend for close to a year we were blessed with these films, and then just like that, from nowhere, they were gone!
I remembered wondering if I would ever see these films again. what happened? why did they stop showing them?
I remember searching for years, but without internet at the time, all hope was lost, they just disappeared and all hope was lost.
Then one day years later when all hope was lost, I got off the "A" train at 42nd and 8th Ave in Manhattan, I walked up the stairs and Bam!! right in my face was a small shop with nothing but Kung Fu Flix. Man they had everything!
I started out buying 3 for 25.00. Eventually when I decided this is what I wanted to do, I started buying so many at a time that "Singh" would just shut down shop and go home. lol. Needless to say, eventually I got everything. Well, everything my boy Singh had.
ClassicKungFuMovies.com has always been a very big part of why these classics are still alive today. We are a very big part of why mainstream jumped on the bandwagon and now these films are sold at most major retailers.
If it weren't for the soldiers like ClassicKungFuMovies.com, Hkflix, Redsundvd, Beijingvideo and my boy Woody a.k.a. (The Grave diggah) back in the days on 43rd st and 8th Ave, ""The 43rd Chamber" in Manhattan. The" Five Deadly Venoms" and "Master Killers" would not be what they are today.
Even back then "classickungfumovies.com offered the best quality on the market from distributors from around the globe as we still do today. We take pride in Quality films, and being able to offer a large variety of Hard to find Kung Fu classics from "Fists Like Lee", "Fist Of The Unicorn", "60 Second Assassin", "Two On The Road" to "Karado: The Hong Kong Cat" and many others.
