Sammo Hung wasn’t just another martial arts actor—he helped shape how kung fu films were made behind the scenes as well as in front of the camera.
He trained at the Peking Opera School under Master Yu Jim-Yuen, alongside Jackie Chan and the Seven Little Fortunes, developing skills in acrobatics, traditional kung fu, and stage combat that gave his fight scenes speed and creativity.
Unlike many of his peers, Sammo blended real martial arts with choreography and storytelling, helping define both classic and modern Hong Kong action cinema.
