STORY OVERVIEW
Liang is a young orphan and pickpocket who makes his living through petty crime. After his girlfriend is killed, he becomes determined to improve his fighting ability and take revenge on the men responsible. His search for greater martial arts knowledge eventually leads him to an unlikely teacher who appears to be nothing more than an ordinary rickshaw puller.
The rickshaw man is secretly a highly skilled martial artist who agrees to train Liang in a special collection of twelve kung fu kicks. As Liang develops his technique, he becomes increasingly capable of standing up to the criminals and bullies who have terrorized him and the people around him. His new skills eventually lead him into direct confrontations with the fighters responsible for his troubles, giving him the chance to put his unusual training to the test.
